Inefficient reprocessing and unavailability of ureteroscopes sent out for repair can contribute to expensive operating room (OR) delays (1).

Flexible ureteroscope reprocessing methods were insufficient and may have introduced contamination. Patient injuries and infections have been linked to ureteroscopes (2).
